A staple of Brown’s music scene, Ossa (f.k.a Samuel Mayer), have just released the first single from their upcoming EP.
Every part of “Echoes,” from the thoughtful lyrics to the jangling guitar melodies, shines through on a track that will have you looking back on sun-soaked memories. Sam Mayer – songwriter, singer, and guitarist for the band – describes “Echoes” as “a song about hanging out with old friends in a dream and then being haunted by a remaining sort of telepathic connection throughout the day.” Ossa’s alt rock sound always brings about feelings of nostalgia, guaranteed to keep you dancing through the night. This single, recorded this past winter, features Walt Plumlee on lead guitars, Emmett McCleary on drums, Sam Eastman on bass, Jack Plumlee on keys and synth, and Mark Watter on sound engineering and mixing.
The band plans to have the next single out soon before they head out on their short tour of the Northeast with current members Sam Mayer, Paul Davis, and Cameron Osborn. Make sure to catch one of their shows if you’re in the area!
